Giving Back To Our Communities This Holiday Season
We love giving back to the wonderful communities we are a part of! This year, at McDougall Insurance, each one of our branches will be giving back to a local charity in their community. We want to make the holidays a little more enjoyable for everyone. Below you will find the updated donations to the local charities for each of our branch locations from this holiday season.
Arnprior
Our Arnprior office donated over 1,000lbs of food to the local food bank to help provide food for families in need over the holidays.
Barrie
Our Barrie office donated to their local foodbank to help provide meals to underprivileged families during the holidays.
Brockville
This holiday season our Brockville office decided to donate toys to The Salvation Army and their annual Toy Mountain.
Belleville
Our Belleville office donated to our local Gleaners Foodbank over this holiday season. In addition to the non-perishable food items our office also donates $9,000 to help families in need.
Our Belleville office donated $1,000 to the Christmas Sharing Program to help support underprivileged families during the holidays.
Cobourg
Our Cobourg office donated $1,000 to the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank. Chairman, Dick Kauling and his team, loved that we were able to support our community over the holidays!
Peterborough
Our Peterborough donated funds raised through staff 50/50 draws throughout the year. Half of the funds raised went to Brenda’s Toy Drive and the other half went to Kawartha Food Share.
Kingston
Our Kingston office packed food for local students for breakfast and lunch through the Kingston Food Sharing Project. Big thank you to Scott Richardson for organizing!
Oshawa & Cobourg
Our Cobourg office donated $1,000 to Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre. Cornerstone is a women and children shelter that provides temporary housing and supplies for those in crisis. They also support their clients with community programs, coping strategies, safety planning and access to court support so they may start a new life away from domestic violence.
Picton
Rosemary Markland from our Picton Office spearheaded a branch-wide donation to the Angel Tree in Prince Edward County. The charity was at risk of folding and some members in the community came together to keep it running. Thanks to Rosemary and the Picton Office they have supported a number of children this past holiday season with clothes/toys. The charity itself supported 325 children.
Winchester
Our Winchester office donated $300 to Naomi’s, which is a refuge/shelter for abused women and their children. Right now they centre is at capacity with 6 women and their children.
