The Truth About Global Warming
When you hear the term “climate change” we all have had it drilled into our heads that it is the affects that we as a society have on the planet. By definition climate change is the periodic modification of Earth’s climate brought about as a result of changes in the atmosphere as well as interactions between the atmosphere and various other geologic, chemical, biological, and geographic factors within the Earth system. Clear as mud right?
If you take the time to research climate change you realize it is caused from many things from global warming up to and including the many natural changes in the climate we can’t control. So if most of climate change is caused by natural forces does that mean we can all breathe a sigh of relief? Well not exactly think of the natural forces as a car doing 40 kmh down the road what societies affects have done is hit the gas and the same car is now doing 150kmh with no signs of slowing down. The sad part is most of the damage we have caused is largely believed to be irreversible so until science and technology can come up with a way to reverse the damage all we can do is stop ourselves from doing more damage.
How you ask? Everything that is needed to maintain human life on the planet affects climate change. So the next time you are looking for a new car instead of that fancy gas guzzling truck maybe look at a small car or better yet a hybrid. Upgrade the electric wiring and appliances in your house so you are using less hydro and in turn causing less pollution from the processing plants. Buy your food from as many local sources as possible to it saves the emissions from transportation.
The term change starts at home is a heavy truth when it comes to climate change we call all make small changes that will amount to a large scale difference. We need to be conscious that with 7 billion people on the planet the personal changes we make will affect climate change more than that of big business.
